ABOUT US
Established in Johannesburg in 2012, Grand Design Professionals (GDP) combines architectural design with practical project-management expertise. We help clients explore possibilities, develop their ideas and make informed decisions about their buildings and spaces.
The practice is led by Carl Adams, a Professional Architect and PMP®-certified Project Manager with a Master’s degree in Architecture and over 20 years of professional experience across South Africa and the Middle East. His career spans residential, hospitality, mixed-use, waterfront and cultural projects, bringing together design development, multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder management.
OUR APPROACH
We believe successful architecture begins with understanding people, place and purpose. Our approach balances aesthetics, function, sustainability and budget, with attention to both the design vision and the practical steps needed to realise it.
From new concepts to renovations and adaptations, we look for thoughtful solutions that respond to each client’s priorities and the way their spaces will be used.
WORKING TOGETHER
Collaboration is central to our approach. We welcome opportunities to work with property owners, developers, architectural practices, engineers, interior designers and project-management teams.
Whether you need architectural input, design-management support or a partner for a joint proposal, we would be pleased to explore how we can contribute.
“Live in your dream space.”
Let’s discuss your project or next collaboration.
